TeamHub is AGPL v3. The Community version is a full development version which you can use freely but we will ask you for feedback, run telemetry, and iterate quickly. A production licence turns the app quiet (no in-app prompts, no telemetry), unlocks the gated modules and the compliance center, and gives you a direct line to the maintainer.
Starter, Business and Enterprise all start with a quote request. Choose the package that fits your seat count and submit the required organisation, instance and billing details. Not sure yet? Every instance can start one 30-day full trial from the TeamHub admin settings, License tab.
Every licence unlocks the same product. The only comparison that matters is Community against licensed: what unlocks, what goes quiet, and who picks up the phone.

All prices exclude taxes. Every production licence is bound to your Nextcloud instance UUID and needs outbound HTTPS for the daily licence heartbeat & auto-renewal.
How every production licence (Starter, Business and Enterprise) behaves once it is active.
Count the seats you need, one per unique member across all Teams on the instance, and pick the pack. The product is the same in every pack; only seats and billing differ.
Enterprise licences come in bands of 50 seats (100 for Unlimited), priced at the top of the band: an instance with 163 seats sits in 151 – 200 and is licensed for 200. The band is the guardrail, so adding a few users does not affect your licence.
Outgrow Starter or Business during the term? A 50-seat add-on covers the extra seats until renewal, at custom pricing. Licences are counted per Nextcloud instance.
One seat is one unique member across all Teams on the instance. Someone in five teams counts once; a Nextcloud account in no team counts nothing.
The current number is on the License tab in the app (Settings → Administration → TeamHub → License), and as “Unique team members” on the Statistics tab. It is computed the same way on your instance and on the licensing back-end, so what you see is what your licence check compares against.
Unlimited licences never fire over-seat warnings regardless of member count.
Starter and Business are annual fixed-price packs. Both are requested through the quote form; there is no direct online checkout.
Enterprise is quoted for the required seat band and agreed billing period. Submit the required details through the same quote form.

Every instance can start one full trial per lifetime with unlimited seats, 30 days, the whole product. Not a crippled demo.
One trial per instance UUID. Wiping the app, deleting the licence row or re-enabling it does not reset the trial marker. If you legitimately need a reset, contact us.
The trial button lives in the app under Settings → Administration → TeamHub → License.
The paid licence has four states:
No data is ever lost through non-renewal. It just isn't available anymore.
Paid TeamHub licences are bound to your Nextcloud instance UUID. The current UUID is visible with copy-to-clipboard on the License admin tab.
Stopping payment does not delete anything. The current key expires on its own; the instance enters grace for 14 days, then soft-lock.
In soft-lock, existing data from gated functionality is retained and read-only. Basic surfaces on every team continue to work forever. No content is deleted through licence enforcement.
Renewing at any time, mid-grace, mid-soft-lock or years later, restores full functionality the moment you paste a fresh key.
